Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Pay Rate: $58,000 – $65,000 per year (salary)

Overview

Goodsmith is seeking a highly skilled Trim/Finish Carpenter to join our team servicing high-end custom homes throughout Houston. This role is ideal for a craftsman who takes pride in precision work, values professionalism, and enjoys working directly with homeowners.

As a member of the Goodsmith team, you will perform detailed finish carpentry and residential repair work while delivering outstanding customer service. The role offers consistent hours, weekly pay, a company vehicle, and long-term stability with a respected home repair provider.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-end residential finish carpentry and light handyman work.
• Complete trim installation, detailed finishing work, and repairs in custom homes.
• Arrive prepared, in uniform, and on time each day.
• Document job progress and notes using the Goodsmith mobile app.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners and internal team members throughout each job.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and company vehicle, especially while working in customers’ homes.
• Deliver exceptional customer service on every project.
• Follow all Goodsmith policies and procedures outlined in the company handbook.

Requirements

• 5+ years of finish carpentry experience.
• 3+ years of direct customer service experience.
• 3+ years of experience working in high-end residential construction or home services.
• Ability to complete jobs from start to finish independently.
• Exceptional attention to detail, including site preparation, execution, and cleanup.
• Willingness to complete an FBI background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
