Property Tax Appeals Advisor (Oregon)
Hourly (Contract-Based): $75–$100/hour
Abode Money is a rapidly growing technology company dedicated to helping homeowners save on the financial aspects of homeownership. With tens of thousands of homeowners on our platform, we’re expanding into Oregon and seeking an experienced Property Tax Appeals Advisor to guide our team through the regulatory and operational requirements of this new market.
This is an hourly, contract-based consulting role, perfect for someone who is an expert in Oregon's property tax protest system and can serve as a trusted advisor during our early phase of market entry.
If mutually interested, there’s also potential for this role to evolve into a long-term partnership as we grow our property tax offerings in Oregon. Our partners include leading home financial services companies such as USAA, Lemonade, Compass, Nerdwallet, CreditKarma, Monarch Money, Consumer Reports, Thumbtack, and many more.
What You’ll Do
As our advisor, you’ll support the Abode Money team with:
Regulatory Insight: Clarifying Oregon statutes, administrative processes, and compliance requirements related to property tax protests.
County-Specific Knowledge: Advising on local nuances and requirements for major Oregon counties.
Filing Processes: Guiding the team on petition filing, timelines (TRIM notices, deadlines, evidence submissions), and differences between online/paper processes.
Hearing Procedures: Offering best practices for navigating hearings and preparing effective property tax protests.
Who We’re Looking For
You’re an ideal candidate if you:
Have direct experience in Oregon’s property tax system—through your own practice, an established firm, or a government office.
Possess deep knowledge of county-level procedures, deadlines, and regulations, especially in Oregon’s five largest counties.
Combine innovative thinking with a strong commitment to regulatory compliance.
Are available to consult on an as-needed, hourly basis via phone or Zoom.
Why This Role Matters
Our mission is to make homeownership more affordable—and your expertise is vital as we responsibly expand into new states. Your guidance will help ensure we build on a robust and compliant foundation.
This is a flexible, high-impact opportunity to make a meaningful contribution without requiring a full-time commitment. If you’re interested in shaping the next phase of homeowner advocacy, we’d love to connect!
