Property Tax Appeals Consultant (Georgia)
Hourly (Contract-Based): $75–$100/hour
Abode Money is a rapidly growing technology company focused on helping homeowners save on the financial aspects of homeownership. With tens of thousands of users on our platform, we are expanding into Georgia and are seeking an experienced Property Tax Advisor to steer our team through the state’s regulatory and operational landscape.
This is an hourly, contract-based consulting opportunity, ideal for an expert in Georgia’s property tax protest system who can serve as a trusted guide during the early stages of our market entry. There’s also potential for this role to transition into a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership as we build out our property tax solutions in Georgia. We partner with leading home financial services organizations including USAA, Lemonade, Compass, Nerdwallet, CreditKarma, Monarch Money, Consumer Reports, Thumbtack, and many more.
What You’ll Do
As our advisor, you’ll collaborate with our internal team on:
Regulatory Insight: Clarifying pertinent Georgia statutes, administrative processes, and compliance obligations for property tax protests.
County-Specific Knowledge: Providing guidance on the local nuances and requirements of major counties.
Filing Processes: Advising on how and when to file petitions (including TRIM notices, deadlines, evidence requirements), and distinguishing between online and paper submissions.
Hearing Procedures: Offering insights into hearing processes and best practices for protest preparation.
Who We’re Looking For
You’re a strong fit if you:
Have direct experience in Georgia’s property tax ecosystem—either through your own practice, an established firm, or local government office.
Possess deep knowledge of county-specific procedures, deadlines, and regulations, especially within Georgia’s five largest counties.
Approach challenges with innovative thinking while adhering to local statutes and guidelines.
Are available to consult on an as-needed, hourly basis by phone or Zoom.
Why This Role Matters
Our mission is to make homeownership more affordable. Your expertise will be crucial in helping us expand into new states responsibly and efficiently, ensuring we maintain a strong and compliant foundation.
This is a flexible, high-impact opportunity where your guidance can make a meaningful difference without the demands of a full-time commitment.
