About Abode Money
Abode Money is building the financial home for your home. Our mission is simple: Make homeownership more affordable for everyday homeowners. We automate the hard parts of managing and saving on homeownership costs like property taxes, insurance, utilities, and more.
Everything in home finance today caters to the transaction, the home buyer or seller, while the homeowner is overlooked. With non-mortgage costs up over 50% in the past five years, homeowners are struggling more today than ever before.
We have incredible backers, including Core VC, Drive Capital, Sequoia and 81 Collection.
The Role
We're hiring a Head of Business Development to own and scale our B2B2C partnerships motion. This is a senior IC role - you'll be responsible for identifying, closing, and managing strategic partnerships with companies that serve homeowners: fintechs, insurers, mortgage servicers, real estate platforms, home services companies, and more.
Blue chip names in financial services are actively being onboarded to white-label our product. Affiliate networks, insurance carriers, real estate brokerages, mortgage servicers, and fintech startups are coming to us - drawn by a simple reality: we're the only property tax appeal company available in all 50 states. You'll be building on top of real momentum, and your job is to scale it.
You will work directly with founders and C-suite executives at prospective partners. You need to be sharp, credible, and polished enough to run those conversations independently from day one. You'll own the full cycle - sourcing, pitching, structuring, negotiating, and activating - and be accountable for the revenue that flows from it.
This is a foundational hire. You'll build the playbook from scratch and have significant input on how we grow the business.
What You'll Do
Own the B2B2C pipeline end-to-end: identify target partners, build relationships with decision-makers, and close deals
Run executive-level conversations with founders and C-suite independently - no hand-holding
Structure and negotiate partnership agreements across multiple commercial models (revenue share, wholesale, API licensing)
Build and maintain a repeatable outbound motion - ICP, sequencing, messaging, pipeline management
Activate partners post-close and own the relationship through launch
Develop the partnership playbook so the motion scales beyond you
Who You Are
You've closed complex B2B or B2B2C partnerships and can walk through exactly how you got deals done
You're comfortable and credible in front of a founder or C-suite executive - you earn trust quickly and move deals forward
You think commercially and structure deals around how partners make money
You're a strong, efficient communicator - tight emails, clear proposals, no templates needed
You thrive in fast-moving environments where not everything is figured out yet and you're comfortable making it up as you go
You're AI-native in practice - prospecting, writing, research, pipeline management
Basic Qualifications
5+ years in business development, partnerships, or strategic sales - with a track record of closing, not just managing
Experience selling to or partnering with fintechs, insurers, real estate platforms, or similar B2C-facing companies preferred
Demonstrated ability to run executive-level conversations independently
Comfortable working across commercial, legal, and technical dimensions of a deal
Experience structuring and negotiating contracts, including revenue share and API/licensing arrangements
Remote-friendly; Austin preferred
Why Now
We're entering a period of rapid partnership growth. We have a proven product, strong unit economics, and inbound interest from companies across the homeownership stack. This hire will define how we scale that motion and will have a direct line to company outcomes. If you want to build something from scratch and own the results, this is the role.
